The Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority was founded in 2000 and has then been operating successfully under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Chairman and Oussama El Omari, Chief Executive Officer.

Before you start any transaction with Government Services, the following documents are required to be submitted to Government Services:
- Personnel Sponsorship Agreement
- List of Authorized Signatories of RAK FTZ-registered Company
- Appointment of Public Relations Officer (PRO) / Company Representative.
It is a mandatory requirement that the RAK FTZ-registered company registers a Public Relations Officer (PRO) with RAKFTZA Government Services.
The responsibility of the PRO is to be the point of contact for communications between Government Services and the RAK FTZ-registered company. Government Services will not entertain any correspondence from anyone else other than the PRO.
A company may appoint two (2) Public Relations Officers for maintain continuity.

Fines charged by UAE Government Authorities will carry a service charge of Dhs 300 over the stipulated charges by the authorities.
Refund of Security Deposit
The Employment Visa Security Deposit is refunded upon cancellation of the registration of the company with RAKFTZA, or in the event that no replacement employee is required upon cancellation of an employment visa.
Upon cancellation of a visa, the companies may retain the security deposit with RAK FTZ to be transferred to the next employee. However, if the security deposit is required to be withdrawn, upon a request to Government Services.
Security deposit for transferred employees will be released only upon submission of new transferred visa copy or exit stamp copy to Government Services.
